Ajay Devgn's action-thriller Bholaa to be released on 30 March 2023

Actor Ajay Devgn on Tuesday took to Twitter to announce that his film Bholaa will be released on 30 March 2023.

A remake of the Tamil action thriller Kaithi (2019), the project also stars Tabu as a cop. The two were last seen together in the romantic comedy De De Pyaar De (2019). 

Bholaa will mark the directorial debut of the acclaimed film editor Dharmendra Sharma who worked on a number of Devgn's previous films.

The original film was written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starred Karthi. The thriller, which received critical acclaim and was also a box office hit, takes place over the course of a night. It revolves around an ex-convict who, eager to meet his daughter for the first time, gets caught in the crossfire between the police and the drug mafia.

In the 2019 film, Tabu's role was played by actor Narain.

Bholaa has been produced by Ajay Devgn Fiilms, T-Series Films, Reliance Entertainment and Dream Warrior Pictures. Meanwhile, Devgn is awaiting the release of his third directorial venture, Runway 34. The aviation thriller features him alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh.
