'Bai Ga' is yet another soulful Ajay-Atul composition from Chandramukhi, which stars Amruta Khanvilkar and Adinath Kothare.
The slow song begins with a beautiful melody that voices the language of the soul of Khanvilkar's character Chandra, whose eyes are transfixed on her lover.
Khanvilkar, who is an ethereal beauty here, is completely in her element as Chandra sings her heart out, ensuring that she has her lover's attention and that she has made her point crystal clear!
Unlike most of the composer duo's other work, this song has minimum orchestration, which gives vocalist Aarya Ambekar’s voice ample opportunity to shine. The singer's melodious, soulful singing even elevates Khanvilkar's presence. The singer beautifully expresses Chandra's longing for her lover. The soulful lyrics by the composer duo and Guru Thakur are deep.
Although the song's visuals mostly rely on Khanvilkar's beautiful expressions, one can't miss the equally beautiful production design, especially the intelligent use of antique lamps as the only source of light.
Directed by Prasad Oak, and adapted from author Vishwas Patil’s Marathi novel of the same name, Chandramukhi is set to be released in theatres on 29 April.
