Pet Puraan trailer: Lalit Prabhakar and Sai Tamhankar pick pets over parenthood

With the high costs of living, many married couples in cities are opting to keep pets instead of having children. The web-series Pet Puraan, which stars Lalit Prabhakar and Sai Tamhankar, tells the story of one such couple. 

The two-minute trailer of the show introduces Prabhakar and Tamhankar as a married couple who are constantly nagged by relatives regarding their plan to avoid parenthood. Frustrated with this constant pestering, they finally decide to give in. But there is a twist. The couple chooses to be pet parents over having biological kids owing to economic reasons.

Prabhakar, who is a dog lover decides to adopt a canine, while Tamhankar, a cat person, takes in a kitten. But they soon find out that being a pet parent is not as simple and easy as they assumed. 

The fun trailer gives a slice-of-life vibe and it seems we will get to see a comedy of errors. Both artistes also get a chance to show off their comical side and it looks like they have done a good job. 

Pet Puraan has been created, written and directed by Dnyanesh Zoting who has made the films Raakshas (2018), Collar Bomb (2021) and the web-series Date With Sai which starred Tamhankar.

Produced by Ranjeet Gugle, Pet Puraan will be premiered on SonyLiv on 6 May.
