The Vijay-starrer Tamil action drama Beast (2022) has entered the Rs100 crore collection club worldwide in just two days.
Despite opening to mixed reviews, the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed mall-invasion thriller, starring Vijay as a secret agent on a mission to rescue the hostages, registered a solid opening.
Popular trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to say that Beast had minted Rs100 crore at the worldwide box office.

Last week, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to share the Hindi trailer of the movie. He also said he is a fan of Vijay.

Beast marks the maiden collaboration of director Nelson and Vijay. Nelson rose to fame with his Tamil crime comedy Kolamaavu Kokila (2018), which starred Nayanthara as a middle-class working woman forced to transport drugs. His previous release was the dark comedy Doctor (2021), in which Sivakarthikeyan takes on a human-trafficking gang.
Beast features Pooja Hegde with Vijay for the first time. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Vijay plays a character called Veeraraghavan, a notorious spy. Filmmaker Selvaraghavan plays the mediator in the crisis while VTV Ganesh, Sathish and Yogi Babu are seen in supporting roles.
