Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes, which won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, will have a special screening at the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
Set in Delhi, Sen’s documentary looks at brothers who tend to injured black kites, which are increasingly getting wounded in the polluted capital.

Michel Hazanavicius’s Z will open the historic edition. New anticipated features by filmmakers David Cronenberg, Claire Denis, Hirokazu Kore-eda, the Dardenne brothers, and Park Chan-wook will compete for the Palme d'Or. The Tom Cruise-starrer Top Gun: Maverick, directed by Joseph Kosinski, and Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler as the American crooner and Tom Hanks will be seen out of competition.
Interestingly, the singer’s granddaughter Riley Keough makes her directorial debut in Un Certain Regard with Gina Gammell in Beast.
