The Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 — which was released today — boasts extraordinary advance booking numbers and is certain to make a dent in the box office. Fans of the franchise, which has been helmed by Prashanth Neel, had been wondering whether it would be expanded beyond the sequel.
The makers have provided an answer, but to see it for yourself stick around until the end credits stop rolling.
The tactful announcement, which is sure to draw applause, takes a leaf out of the book of Hollywood's Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, and it will be interesting to see how the makers take the story forward.
The first film, the most expensive Kannada movie ever made at the time of its release, arrived in cinemas in December 2018. It went on to break box-office records and attain cult status. For the sequel, the makers roped in well-known Hindi film stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon.
