Ek Hota Malin to be released in theatres on 29 July 


Directed by Dattatray A Gaikar and Raju Rane, the disaster film is based on the tragic landslide that took place in the village of Malin in July 2014.

The makers of Ek Hota Malin, which is based on the tragic landslide that took place in the village of Malin in Maharashtra in 2014, have announced that the film will be released on 29 July.

They also unveiled a spine-chilling poster that depicts the disaster in graphic detail.

Ek Hota Malin has been written and helmed by Dattatray A Gaikar and Raju Rane and this is their maiden directorial venture. 

The film stars Prashant Mohite, Ashwini Kasar, Siddhi Patane, Anil Nagarkar, Prashant Tapaswi and Ramchandra Dhumal. Raja Fadtare has shot the film while Yuvraj Gongle has composed the film's music.

The film has been produced by Santosh Jagannath Mhatre and co-produced by Rupesh Rane and Arun Konje.

Ek Hota Malin will clash with the Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer Thank God (2022)

The tragedy on which the film is based occurred in the Ambegaon taluka of the state's Pune district, killing 151 people. The disaster prompted massive rescue operations led by the National Disaster Response Force that lasted for eight days and nights.
