The Hindi version of the Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer Roudram Ranam Rudhiram aka RRR (2022) saw its first notable fall in box-office collection on its third Monday in theatres.
The SS Rajamouli film earned Rs3.25 crore nett yesterday, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com. But because it had a very good third weekend, the film has already made Rs26.75 crore in the third week so far in this language. The film’s overall collection in Hindi currently stands at Rs232.88 crore.
However, the film may not stand much of a chance of reaching the Rs250 crore mark now with the hugely anticipated KGF: Chapter 2 (2022), starring Yash and Sanjay Dutt, lined up for release this weekend. Also, as KGF: Chapter 2 is being released on Thursday ahead of the Good Friday holiday, RRR has only today and tomorrow to rake in as much moolah as possible.
According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, the advance booking for KGF: Chapter 2 has been excellent. The film, which is the sequel to KGF: Chapter 1 (2018), is expected to have a huge opening on Thursday.
However, the advance booking for the Hollywood movie Dr Strange: The Multiverse Of Madness (2022), which has opened four weeks before its release in India, has been even better than that for KGF Chapter 2. The film is set for release on 6 May.
