New Brahmastra poster with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt teases love story of their characters

A new poster for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva (2022) reveals the love story between the characters of Shiva and Isha, played by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

While the film is due to be released in September, the timing of the poster is interesting, seeing as the film's lead couple is rumoured to be wed later this week.

In an Instagram post, writer-director Mukerji, who is a close friend of both stars, wrote, “Part One: Shiva... is what this first chapter of Brahmāstra is now called. But for the longest time, it used to be... Part One: Love.”

The filmmaker explained that the upcoming fantasy adventure film is about the energy of love and therefore he was unveiling the poster of love. “The time feels right for it... There is some extra love in the air these days!” he hinted.

The poster also reveals a Pritam original with the song ‘Kesariya’, sung by Arijit Singh and written by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, both long-time collaborators of the composer.

The final schedule of the film, being produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, was wrapped up last month.

Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Dimple Kapadia and featuring a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan, Brahmastra is due to be released on 9 September 2022 after being in the works for nearly seven years. It will be released theatrically in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
