Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Oh My Dog (2022) shows the close bond between a boy, played by Arnav Vijay, and his pet dog, a Siberian Husky.
The mischievious Arjun (Arnav) finds a puppy whom he names Simba. The two instantly form a bond, much to the chagirn of everyone around them. His parents disapprove of him keeping the dog at home. Soon, the unusual breed catches the eye of a wealthy man who wants to acquire Simba.
With his goons after the prized pup, can Arjun hold on to his best friend? Oh My Dog stars three generations with grandfather-father-son trio Vijaykumar, Arun Vijay and Arnav coming together for the first time on screen. The film also features Mahima Nambiar and Vinay Rai in pivotal roles.
“Oh My Dog is one of the most special projects of my career and personally a landmark movie for our entire family for multiple reasons," actor Arun Vijay said. "Not only was I thrilled to work with my father and my son, who makes his debut, but being a father to Arnav made me realize the importance of movies that cater to young audiences. The film is a true family entertainer and I look forward to the story inspiring children to retain their honesty, innocence and virtues."
Actor-producer Suriya, founder of 2D Entertainment, said, "Oh My Dog is a beautiful story throwing light on the friendship between man and his best friend while touching upon important values of unconditional love, friendship and kindness. It’s a film that every family should watch together, especially kids and pet lovers. An emotionally engaging tale like this deserves to travel far and wide, and we are glad that it's being premiered globally on Prime Video, all set to entertain children this summer."
According to director Sarov Shanmugam, Oh My God is rich in emotions. “It delves deep into the lessons that we are all taught as kids but forget as we grow up owing to the pressure of responsibilities,” he said.
The film will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 21 April. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to see the film.
