Raavan trailer: Jeet shines as the destroyer of evil in his demonic avatar

With crowd-pleasing dialogues and sensational action sequences, the star Jeet is back. In the trailer for his upcoming film Raavan (2022), directed by MN Raj, Jeet shines in his dual avatars as Prof Ram Mukherjee and Raavan, who unleashes his inner devil to combat the evil in the law-and-order system.

Jeet makes his heroic entry in the trailer with the dialogue, “Raavan never dies. Despite knowing this, we burn Raavan every year, but Raavan never dies.” Like the legendary worshipper of Shiva, Jeet in the avatar of Raavan has a tattoo of the deity on his arm from which he draws strength to fight his battles.

The trailer then introduces Ram Mukherjee, a professor of journalism who, with his completely contrasting manner, is a wise and charming man and wins the heart of his student (Lahoma Bhattacharya). Whether Jeet's character in the film has a split personality or he intentionally shifts between his alternative personae to strike a balance between good and evil will be revealed in the film.

However, the trailer makes it clear that the film is the story of Raavan, not of the adorable and able professor, because after a few romantic song sequences involving Ram and his student, the action-packed visuals return to present Raavan declaring war on corrupt police officers.

The twist takes place when inspector Jahan (Tnusree Chakraborty) pledges to hunt Raavan down with Ram's help for taking the law in his hands. Raavan, on the other hand, continues his fight and challenges Jahan to catch him if she can.

While the storyline comes across as the usual blend of romance, comedy and action of a typical masala film, Jeet’s dialogues offering an entertaining take on the idea of good versus evil from the Ramayana make the trailer exciting to watch. The visual effects in the action sequences seem perfect for a big-screen movie with a sleek, larger-than-life look.
