Father and son Anil and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor's upcoming revenge thriller Thar has got a release date. The revenge neo-noir will be streamed on Netflix from 6 May.

The film sees the Kapoors collaborate for the second time after Vikramaditya Motwani's black comedy thriller AK vs AK (2020). The film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik.

Produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company (AKFC), Thar is the maiden feature of filmmaker Raj Singh Chaudhary and it has been co-written by Anurag Kashyap. The film marks the maiden collaboration between the production house and Netflix.

Thar, which is set in the 1980s, tells the story of an antique dealer’s journey through a remote village in Rajasthan that has recently been rocked by a series of violent killings. Things take an interesting turn when a local cop Surekha Singh investigates these killings and he crosses paths with Harsh Varrdhan's character.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor also has Jugjugg Jeeyo, Animal and Fighter in the pipeline.
