A naughty girl, deprived of good parenting, finds a guardian and friend in her career-oriented aunt in the trailer of Mainak Bhaumik’s upcoming film Mini. Starring Mimi Chakraborty and Ayanna Chatterjee, the trailer promises a story of friendship.
Mini (Chatterjee) doesn’t listen to elders and often gets into fights with her classmates. When her mother (Kamalika Banerjee) gets hospitalized, the girl enters the care of her maternal aunt Titli (Chakraborty). An aspiring fashion designer, Titli already has a messed-up life and a complicated relationship with her boyfriend (Saptarshi Maulik).
After being frustrated with herself for not being able to handle a child's tantrums and when she realizes that Mini considers herself to be a burden, Titli begins to embrace the responsibility of looking after the child.
As the aunt and the niece bond, Mini’s precocious behaviour and her conflicts with Titli lend a tenderness to the story. The melody in the background, rendered by Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury, underscores the innocence of the friendship.
Mini is slated to be released in theatres on 6 May.
