Shriya Pilgaonkar to play investigator in Amazon miniTV show Murder In Agonda

Directed by Vikram Rai, the five-episode web-series is a murder mystery set in Goa. 

After coming up with quite a few short films, Amazon miniTV is now all set to present a web-series titled Murder In Agonda. The first two episodes will go live on 8 April while the other three will be released every Friday from then. 

Directed by Vikram Rai and produced by Arré Studio, the show, as per the name, is a murder mystery set in Goa starring Shriya Pilgaonkar, Aasif Khan, Kubra Sait and Lillete Dubey. 

The story starts off when the rich Mala Coutinho (Dubey) is stabbed to death in her bedroom. Sarla Salelkar (Pilgaonkar) from the Panaji crime branch becomes a part of the case after the investigating officer (Aasif Khan) requests her. 

Speaking about the show, Girish Prabhu, head of Amazon Advertising, said in a statement, “Amazon miniTV has been offering its viewers a continuous stream of engaging and good quality content for free and we could not be more elated to be release Arré Studio’s crime drama thriller. Featuring some of the country’s finest talents, we are positive that this show will resonate well with audiences.”
