Sachin Kundalkar’s Cobalt Blue (2022) will be premiered on Netflix on 2 April.

The feature film, starring Prateik Babbar, Neelay Mehendale and Anjali Sivaraman, was originally supposed to be streamed on 4 December 2021 but its release was postponed indefinitely.

Cobalt Blue is an adaptation of Kundalkar's 2013 novel of the same name. The story follows two siblings, a brother and sister, who end up falling for the same man (Babbar) when he arrives as a paying guest in their home.

The striking, moody film is set in Kerala and also stars Geetanjali Kulkarni, Shishir Sharma and Anant Joshi. Produced by Priya Sreedharan, Wasim Khan and Zulfaquar Torabi, the feature film was wrapped up over two years ago.

Earlier this week, when Cinestaan.com asked Kulkarni about the delay, she said that she wasn’t aware when the film would be out. “Even we have no clear idea about when it's going to be released,” she had said.

Kundalkar’s Pondicherry (2022), starring Sai Tamhankar, Vaibhav Tatwawadi and Amruta Khanvilkar, was released theatrically on 25 February. The feature film was shot entirely on a smartphone in the former French colony.
