The trailer of Rajdeep Ghosh’s upcoming film Kolkata’r Harry was launched in the presence of Shashi Panja, minister of women and child development and social welfare of West Bengal. Lead actor Soham Chakraborty, Priyanka Sarkar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Oishika Guhathakurta, Arindam Ganguly, music director Jeet Gannguli and others were also in attendance.

Ghosh’s debut film Kolkata’r Harry has been produced by Soham Chakraborty’s banner Soham’s Entertainment.

Prosenjit Chatterjee, who plays a police officer in the film, said, “My heartfelt good wishes are for Soham’s first production. I have done a cameo in the film but that is not important. I appreciate Soham’s efforts as a producer, and I am sure his initiatives will have a positive impact on the industry.”

Speaking about the first-time director, the actor added, “I have known Rajdeep for a long time. He worked as an assistant director for Kaushik Ganguly and I could sense his potential when we worked together. The most important thing is Kolkata’r Harry is a children’s film, which is a rarity in this industry these days. I loved the script a lot and enjoyed working in the film.”

Kolkata’r Harry is a story of driver-turned-magician Haripada Patra aka Harry, played by Chakraborty, who is a favourite of kids. When he gets framed in a conspiracy, his admirers extend their support to him as he fights back.

Ghosh said, “I am quite nervous regarding the audience’s reaction after so many days of hard work.” The director added that he had an amazing experience working on the film with a bunch of kids from morning to night, especially after the pandemic.

Priyanka Sarkar plays a journalist, Mohor, who falls in love with Harry. “The film is full of positivity, and it will take everyone back to their childhood and the world of fairy tales,” said the actress.

“This is Rajdeep Da’s first film, but it didn’t feel like we were working with a newcomer director, as he was extremely dedicated to his work. We immensely enjoyed working in the film and I hope it will reflect on the screen.”

Extending her support to Chakraborty’s maiden venture as a producer, Panja said, “Best wishes to Soham. I hope everyone enjoys the film and the film gets promoted through word of mouth. Even after growing old, it feels nice to watch films made for children. This will appeal to an audience of all ages. The inherent innocence and spontaneity in the storyline will pull the audience.”
