Anshuman Jha's Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele and Midnight Delhi selected for India International Film Festival of Boston

The latter film has also bagged a spot at the Chicago South Asian International Film Festival. 

Actor Anshuman Jha's Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele and Midnight Delhi have been selected for the India International Film Festival of Boston (IIFFB).

Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele, which also stars Zareen Khan, will be screened on the closing night of the IIFFB, on 26 September. The film was released on Disney+ Hotstar in May. 

Jha's next release, Midnight Delhi, which was stuck with the censors for over a year, has also bagged a spot at the prestigious Chicago South Asian International Film Festival The film had its world premiere at the Singapore South Asian Film Festival where it won the Best Editor Award. 

Directed by Rakesh Rawat and inspired by actual incidents, Midnight Delhi is about a notorious serial killer who used to attack innocent people in Delhi.

Speaking about both films, Jha said, “Midnight Delhi is a special film. It's about one night in Delhi and this character 'Blademan'  took me to some dark places. I am grateful to  IIFFB and CSAIFF for giving the film a platform. As for Hum Bhi Akele... I am happy it will be on the big screen in Boston which is what it was meant for originally. Hope the LGBTQ community in Boston showers it with the same love that the 10 million-plus viewers have on OTT."
