The teaser of Saptaswa Basu’s upcoming horror film Jotugriho invites us to the hill station of Nishadgunj where certain paranormal activities bring the life of the film’s characters to an alarming juncture. The horror film stars Bonny Sengupta, Parambrata Chatterjee and Piyali Chatterjee and sees Paayel Sarkar make a cameo.

The teaser opens with a car entering Nishadgunj, and gradually, it takes us inside the local church to introduce us to the middle-aged priest Joseph (Parambrata). The haunting background score and glimpses of the characters without any dialogues prepare the audience for an eerie experience.

Scenes where Rehaan (Sengupta) experiences paranormal activities that pose a danger to his love interest Meghna (Piyali) pique one's interest.

Joseph initially tries hard to drive away the evil spirits by reciting verses from the holy scriptures and eventually collaborates with Rehaan, who has come from Kolkata to work as a hotel manager in Nishadgunj, to get to the root of the horrific incidents and ensure their own safety as well.

While the misty forests in the hills and the gothic structure of the houses work as the best backdrop for unfolding a horror story, a child singing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' in a spooky voice in the background and Sarkar’s character cuddling a little girl in her lap, also suggest that the plot has something to do with children as well.

Check out the teaser below and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
