Manoj Kana's National award-winning film Kenjira released on NeeStream


The movie captures the struggles of the Paniya tribe, an Adivasi community in Wayanad, Kerala.

Filmmaker Manoj Kana's National award-winning film Kenjira has been released on NeeStream. The movie, which was released in cinemas in 2019, captures the struggles of the Paniya tribe, an Adivasi community in Wayanad, Kerala.

The film focuses on the lives of the most sidelined community, depicting how the state and the mainstream society exploit them. 

Kenjira stars Vinusha Ravi in her maiden role and features K V Chandran, Mohini, Joy Mathew, Sanooj Krishnan, Karunan, Vinu Kuzhijangad and Coly Amma.

This is Manoj's third feature film after Chayilyam (2012) and Amoeba (2016).

Kenjira was selected for the International Film Festival of India in Goa, the Kolkata International Film Festival and the International Film Festival of Kerala.

The film has been produced by Neru Films and  Manghat Foundation.
