Bhoot Police (2021), starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam, will arrive a week ahead of schedule, in time for the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday, on 10 September. The film was due to be released on Disney+ Hotstar on 17 September.

The Telugu film Maestro (2021), starring Nithiin, Tamannaah and Nabha Natesh, and Annabelle Sethupathi (2021), starring Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu, are also due to be premiered on the same day on the streaming platform.

Bhoot Police, directed by Pavan Kirpalani, sees Khan and Kapoor play a pair of ghostbusters, who come across the characters of Fernandez and Gautam in their quest to eradicate supernatural threats. Produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri, the horror-comedy also stars Jaaved Jaaferi and Jamie Lever.

The film was meant to be released in theatres on 10 September before the makers changed course in July, opting to stream the film on Disney+ Hotstar from the same date. Later that month, the makers announced that the film's digital premiere would be postponed to 17 September.

The holiday will also see the release of the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Thalaivii (2021) which will be out in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Nani’s Tuck Jagadish (2021) will be premiered on Amazon Prime, while the comedy Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai? (2021) will be premiered on Zee5.
