Lalit Prabhakar to play titular role in Hemant Dhome's next directorial venture Sunny

Actor-director Hemant Dhome has announced his next feature film, Sunny, which will be jointly produced by his banner Chalchitra Company and Planet Marathi. The film will star Lalit Prabhakar as the titular character. 

Dhome shared the first poster of the film on Facebook.

The poster features Prabhakar in a green jacket and white T-shirt, standing in front of a wall with beautiful graffiti. From the colourful poster, it is clear that the movie will be themed on exuberance.

Written by Irawati Karnik, Sunny will be premiered directly on Planet Marathi next summer. Apart from Prabhakar, the film will star Abhijeet Khandkekar, Abhishek Deshmukh and Satyajeet Shobha Shriram.

Speaking about the film, Dhome said, "This movie is very special to me. I have lived the life of Sunny to some extent myself. So this character is very close to mine. I am very excited and happy to be working with Akshay Bardapurkar for the first time.

Speaking about working with Dhome and Prabhakar, Planet Marathi's head and founder Akshay Bardapurkar said, "Hemant Dhome is a great actor, but also great as a director. Lalit Prabhakar has proved that he is a great actor in many movies. Many actors and directors have been associated with Planet Marathi. Apart from Sunny, Dhome has two more projects ready for release: Jhimma and Sataracha Salman.
