After collecting Rs55 lakh nett on its third Saturday, the Akshay Kumar-starrer Bell Bottom made almost double the amount — Rs90 lakh — the following day, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

But the jump isn’t significant as the espionage thriller’s overall performance at the box office continues to be low. The film, which also stars Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor, made Rs1.80 crore on its third weekend, taking its overall earnings to Rs27.83 crore so far. As per trade sources, Bell Bottom has been made at a cost of Rs150 crore.

The Hollywood movie Shang-Chi And The Legend Of Ten Rings has performed well on its first weekend at the Indian box office. After earning Rs3 crore [updated figure] on Friday, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film saw a jump on Saturday and Sunday as it made Rs3.50 crore and Rs4.25 crore respectively, taking its three-day total to an impressive Rs10.75 crore.

Meanwhile, another Hollywood film, F9, the latest instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise, which was released on Thursday, has had a decent extended first weekend. After earning Rs2.75 crore on Sunday, the film has made Rs8 crore in the country. As the franchise has a good following in India, the film would have earned much more if it was the sole Hollywood release this week.
