Speaking to The Times of India newspaper, Saira Banu's doctor Nitin Gokhale said, "Sairaji is not battling depression, plus she is not being difficult at all, which in other words means she is not avoiding angiography. The angiography, as I told you last time, will be done at a later date after we control her diabetes."
Earlier, it was reported that Saira Banu was struggling with the recent loss of her husband of 55 years, screen legend Dilip Kumar, in July. The couple were married in 1966. In Dilip Kumar's latter years, it was the actress who took complete charge of his health and upkeep.
Saira Banu was admitted to Hinduja hospital on 1 September and moved to the ICU after being diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome.
