‘Mujhe Pyaar Pyaar Hai’ from Bhoot Police: Armaan Malik displays his talent in this melodious, romantic number

Mainstream Hindi cinema hasn't exactly been known in recent years for producing melodious tracks. And the concept of remixing old hit songs has only made things worse for genuine music lovers. At such a time to hear a fresh melodious romantic track is nothing short of a pleasant surprise. ‘Mujhe Pyaar Pyaar Hai’ from Bhoot Police is one such.

It’s a slightly old-school number which has gentle, romantic lyrics where a guy expresses his love for his lady. Priya Saraiya’s poetry doesn’t boast of out-of-the-box words, but its simplicity is what works.

Further, Armaan Malik has blessed the song with his vocal chords, with Shreya Ghoshal coming in at the end. Composer duo Sachin-Jigar’s tunes are completely in synch with the simplicity of the words.

The exotic and rich locations add more value to the visual quality of the song. One can find some old-world charm here, too, with the guy and his girl changing outfits throughout the song.

Yami Gautam looks fresh. Her swaying and expressions add to her allure. The only thing that doesn’t quite work here is the lack of expressions from Arjun Kapoor.

Directed by Pavan Kirpalani and produced by Tips Industries, Bhoot Police also stars Saif Ali Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from 17 September.
