Sambhlo Chho (Season 3) features stories by author Yashwant Mehta

The tales of the iconic writer are narrated by five child actors in the OHO Gujarati show.

The third season of OHO Gujarati’s non-fiction show Sambhlo Chho, which showcases the works of a particular Gujarati author, features stories by the renowned writer Yashwant Mehta.

The stories have been read by five child actors Hiranya Zinzuwadia, Mantra Pandya, Nishma Soni, Het Shah, Jaanushi Umang Oza and Riaan Muliya.

The show also sees actor Nisarg Trivedi making appearances as Yashwant Mehta. 

Born into a farmer family, Mehta spent his childhood in poverty. But that didn’t stop him from venturing into writing. “His first story was published in 1956 and since then there was no turning back. With a career spanning over six decades, Yashwant Mehta worked in the field of education, literature and journalism and has also authored over 500 books. He contributed to stories for children through his editorial pieces over the course of his career,” read an statement from the platform. 

The stories that are featured in this season are Ek Bando Undar, Gadhedo Gambhirdash, Jaga Bhaga Na Bor, Kaluji Kagdo Nishale Chalyo and Mitha Ladu Na Mota Sapna.

We feel privileged to bring these wonderful childhood stories written by Yashwant Mehta to life through the art of ‘Bal-Vaachikam’.
