Box office: Punjabi movie Qismat 2 continues its fine run, Telugu film Love Story fares well too

Punjabi cinema has been going great guns at the box office ever since theatres were reopened after the second COVID-19 wave subsided. After Puaada and Chal Mera Putt 2, it is now the turn of Qismat 2 to make a dent at the box office.
After registering a positive opening of Rs1.24 crore nett on Thursday, 23 September, the film made Rs1.30 crore, Rs1.75 crore and Rs2.35 crore on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
More importantly, Qismat 2 also passed the Monday test as it earned Rs1.10 crore in the day. The film only witnessed a 10% drop from its opening day number, which is impressive.
Directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the film is a love story starring Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta. It's grand total currently stands at a handsome Rs7.74 crore.
Meanwhile, the Telugu movie Love Story is also having a good run at the box office. The Sekhar Kammula-directed film has earned Rs3.05 crore in the first four days, as per figures shared by the online publication Track Tollywood.
Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, the film recently became the first Indian movie to mint $1 million at the American box office ever since the theatres were reopened in the country after the second COVID-19 wave.
