With theatres in Maharashtra set to reopen after 22 October, the industry is finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. After announcing their theatrical release date, the makers of Kartik Aaryan's ghostbusting comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, have released a new look for his character.

The motion poster catches the actor sitting atop what looks like a palatial dome, in an eccentric outfit. As the moon rises into the night around him, he is surrounded by crows and kites, sometimes seen as an ominous sign.
The garb worn by the actor is reminiscent of Akshay Kumar's look in the first film, directed by Priyadarshan and released in 2007. The only difference is that the new version takes on a darker shade.
The new motion poster also carries the announcement of the latest release date: 25 March 2022.
After being delayed through 2020 and 2021 by the COVID-19 pandemic, the film is finally scheduled for release next year. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will feature Kiara Advani opposite Kartik Aaryan for the first time, with Tabu in a key role. Rajpal Yadav, who was also in Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), will be joined by Sanjay Mishra in the supporting cast.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, the film marks the third collaboration between Kartik Aaryan and the banner after their successes with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) and Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019). The film is co-produced by Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios.
