Actress-producer Charmme Kaur on Tuesday took to Twitter to wish filmmaker Puri Jagannadh on his birthday. Sharing a picture and calling him her favourite human, she wrote a sweet birthday note.

Charmme and Puri are working together on the upcoming Hindi-Telugu film Liger, which stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday.

Charmme is handling the entire production of Liger, which is tipped to be a high-octane kick-boxing-based action film.

“Happy birthday to my most favourite human...the trust and belief u have over me, I hope I live up to it always n keep making u feel proud," Charmme wrote.

Charmme turned producer with her Telugu film Jyothilakshmi (2015), which was directed by Puri.

Under the banner of Puri Connects, she has handled productions of films such as Rogue (2017), Paisa Vasool (2017), Mehbooba (2018) and Ismart Shankar (2019).

Meanwhile, the makers of Liger have announced that they’ve roped in boxing legend Mike Tyson for a significant role in the film.

In Liger, Vijay plays a fighter with a stutter. He underwent mixed martial arts classes in Thailand in preparation for his character. Karan Johar has come on board to release the film in Hindi.

The project will mark Vijay Devarakonda’s Hindi debut.

“The film will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, and will be dubbed into other regional languages as well. Besides Telugu, I am planning to dub my lines in Hindi as well,” Vijay had said.

The project was to be made in Telugu with actor Jr NTR a few years ago. It didn’t materialize as NTR had his hands full.

Eventually, Puri pitched the idea to Vijay and brought him on board. Over the course of last year and a half, Vijay exclusively worked on his physique for this project.
