R Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect to arrive in theatres on 1 April 2022

The film marks the actor's directorial debut, and it will be released in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Actor R Madhavan's awaited directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, has finally got a release date. The film is set to have a worldwide theatrical release on 1 April 2022. It has been raining release date announcements since yesterday after Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray gave a green signal to theatre owners to resume operations in the state after 22 October.

Madhavan, who has also produced and written the film, took to Instagram to share the news and wrote, "We are elated to inform you that the much-awaited Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be released worldwide in theatres on 1st April 2022. The biographical drama showcases the journey of a former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer, Nambi Narayanan, who was accused of espionage. 

The film also features Rajit Kapur, Ravi Raghavendra, Karthik Kumar, Misha Ghoshal, Gulshan Grover, with special appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya.

Rocketry has been shot in Tamil, English and Hindi and will be released in these languages as well as Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
