Shooting for Valimai, which is one of the more anticipated Tamil films of the year, concluded in Russia last month. Directed by H Vinoth, the film will feature Huma Qureshi opposite Ajith Kumar, with SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, and Karthikeya Gummakonda.
The film marks the second collaboration between Ajith Kumar and Kapoor's production house since Nerkonda Paarvai (2019), the Tamil remake of Pink (2016). The film went on the floors in late 2019 but faced several delays owing to the pandemic. In February 2020, Ajith Kumar had an injury on set while riding a bike. In July this year, the makers released the first motion poster for the film.
Valimai is a cop drama, jointly produced by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor Pictures.
