Vidyut Jammwal-starrer Sanak to be released directly on Disney+ Hotstar

Vidyut Jammwal-starrer upcoming action flick Sanak will be released directly on the over-the-top (OTT) platform Disney+ Hotstar. The actor shared the news on Twitter on Wednesday along with a poster of the film, which is quite interesting. It shows him dressed in all black with a machine gun in his hand. His face is bruised but the character appears undeterred. 

The fact that he is standing inside a hospital makes the poster all the more intriguing as gunfights rarely occur in this setting. A major recent example is the thrilling action sequence in the first season of the web-series The Family Man. 

Sanak also stars Chandan Roy Sanyal as a negative character. During a conversation with Cinestaan earlier this year, the actor had said that his role also involves doing action sequences. “I have tried something different. I have done a lot of action in that film with Vidyut. Generally, villains are dramatic but in this one, I have full filmi action with Vidyut. I trained myself for the action scenes,” he said. 

Directed by Kanishk Varma, Sanak marks the Hindi film debut of Bengali actress Rukmini Maitra.
