The fifth season of television reality show Bigg Boss Tamil, which will be hosted by actor-politician Kamal Haasan, will be premiered on 3 October on Vijay TV and Disney+ Hotstar.
The premiere date was announced in the latest promo for the show. In the video, Kamal Haasan is seen asking viewers to get ready as he welcomes them in different styles.
He goes on to say that the biggest challenge for him is to be himself when he is in ‘this’ house. The video then goes on to announce the premiere date.
In the promo video, Kamal Haasan is seen wearing a golden-coloured blazer and blue denim jeans. He is sporting a thick mustache and salt-and-pepper hair and whiskers.
The fourth season of the show saw actor Aari Arjunan winning the Bigg Boss title. The list of participants of the upcoming show is yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan, who is currently shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram, has confirmed that he is writing a script for Maalik (2021) director Mahesh Narayanan.
It’s worth mentioning that Kamal Haasan recently watched Maalik on the sets of Vikram and was later joined by Mahesh Narayanan and Fahadh Faasil. The veteran praised the filmmaker for the movie.
At a media interaction recently, Kamal Haasan talked about the status of his upcoming projects. On Indian 2, which has been stalled for the past few months, he said that nearly 60% of the shooting is complete and efforts are on to resolve the conflicts surrounding the project and finish the rest of the shooting.
At the same interaction, he confirmed writing a script for Mahesh Narayanan. But he did not divulge any details.
There are also reports that Kamal Haasan will soon commence work on Papanasam 2, sequel to the Tamil remake of Drishyam (2013). The project will be helmed by Jeethu Joseph, who will complete Mohanlal's 12th Man and begin shooting for this project.
