Sekhar Kammula confirms his film with Dhanush will be a thriller 

Filmmaker Sekhar Kammula has confirmed that he will commence working on his next project with Dhanush from early next year. In an interview with The Hindu newspaper, he has also revealed that it will be a socio-political thriller.

It was recently announced that Sekhar would join hands with Dhanush for an upcoming as-yet-untitled trilingual film. The project will mark their maiden collaboration.

It’ll be the first time Dhanush will star in a trilingual film. This project will also mark Dhanush’s Telugu debut as his films so far have only been dubbed into the language.

The film will be produced on a grand scale by Narayan Das, K Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP as Production No 4.

It is rumoured that Sai Pallavi has been finalized as the leading lady.

Sekhar told The Hindu, "It’s a socio-political thriller. I am looking forward to it, but before that, I need some time off. I feel drained with the making and promotion of Love Story. The pandemic has been tough; I hope people take precautions when they come to the theatres to watch movies."

Sekhar currently awaits the release of the forthcoming Telugu romantic drama Love Story, which stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. 

The trailer of Love Story was released last week. It is tipped to be a romantic drama centred on a young couple who unite over their love for dance. Going by the visuals, the film is also said to be about love, failure and dreams.
