After making his directorial debut with the Marathi drama Zollywood, Trushant Ingle is now all set to act in the Hindi movie titled Midnight Delhi.

He has made cameos in various projects such as Shaitan (2011), Singham Returns (2014), Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015) and the web-series Abhay. But Midnight Delhi marks his first full-fledged role.

Speaking about the film’s subject, Ingle said in a statement, “Life is unpredictable. We can’t tell what will happen to us or our loved ones in the next moment. A story revolving around this idea is explored in Midnight Delhi, which is directed by Rakesh Rawat.”

Midnight Delhi will be screened at the Chicago South Asia Film Festival and the Indian International Film Festival of Boston this year.

He added, "I am playing a common man in this movie. He is a very interesting character. When he faces a financial crunch, he takes the path of violence. I am very happy to see this film being selected for screenings at international festivals."

Starring Dinkar Gavande, Ajit Khobragade, Kajal Rangari, Nisha Dhongade and Ashwini Ladekar, Zollywood is about the zhaadi-patti theatre tradition of Maharashtra's Vidarbha region. The film was screened at the 10th Jagran Film Festival in Mumbai in 2019.
