Ammy Virk announces his next Punjabi release, Hun Ni Mud’de Yaar

The film, which appears to be about migration and borders, is scheduled to be released on Diwali, 4 November.

Punjabi actor and singer Ammy Virk has announced another Punjabi film of his to be released this year.

Virk made the announcement on Instagram and seeking divine blessings. The film has been written and directed by Rakesh Dhawan.

The poster for the film is quite stark and features barbed-wire lines with figures walking alongside, which seems to indicate a film about migration, borders and boundaries, especially as the title means there is no turning back.

Besides Virk, the film stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Pakistani actors Nasir Chinyoti and Zafri Khan. In March this year, Khan had shared a short video of the making of the movie which shows the cast members having a good time despite being in freezing weather conditions.

Khan and Chinyoti also featured in the film Chal Mera Putt 2, directed by Janjot Singh, which is currently enjoying a successful run in theatres. Virk, too, seems to be on a roll, as his romantic comedy Puaada (2021), which was released last month, has done good business and he will also be seen in the highly anticipated Qismat 2, which is slated for release this week.
