Taapsee Pannu-starrer Rashmi Rocket to be released on Zee5 on Dussehra, 15 October

Rashmi Rocket (2021), starring Taapsee Pannu, is heading straight for a digital premiere as the sports drama will be released on Zee5 on Dussehra, 15 October.

The producers of the film, RSVP Movies, announced the release date online. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, Rashmi Rocket features Pannu as a runner from Kutch in Gujarat.

A new poster, released today, shows several key moments in Rashmi's life, from a light exchange with husband Gagan Thakur (Priyanshu Painyuli) to running on the track and contesting a case at the Bombay high court with Gagan and her lawyer played by Abhishek Banerjee.

The story of Rashmi Rocket has been written by Nanda Periyasamy, while the screenplay has been written by Aniruddha Guha. Kanika Dhillon has also been roped in for additional screenplay and dialogues.

The music of the film has been composed by Amit Trivedi. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya, the drama also stars Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Supriya Pathak, Manoj Sharma and Varun Badola.

This will be Pannu’s third consecutive release online after Netflix’s Haseen Dillruba (2021) and Disney+ Hotstar’s Annabelle Sethupathi (2021).
