Like working with new directors as they bring enthusiasm, fresh perspective, says Ranvir Shorey on Hasal

The recently announced Hasal (2022) will feature actors Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey and Raghav Juyal in the lead. Directed by Ravi Singh and produced by Jayesh Patel of Bravo Entertainment, the feature film also features Tejasvi Singh Ahlawat, Taranjit Kaur and Ishtiyak Khan.

Shorey and Mishra last worked together in Kadvi Hawa (2017) and are also working together in the upcoming action thriller Mumbaikar directed by Santosh Sivan. Meanwhile, Juyal had worked with Mishra in the satire Bahut Hua Sammaan (2020) and will be working with Shorey for the first time.

Shorey is also teaming up with writer-director Ravi Singh for the first time. “I like working with new directors as they bring a lot of enthusiasm and a fresh perspective,” the actor said. “That’s what made me trust Ravi. He has a vision which has freshness.”

Ravi Singh responded, “We got together because he is so perfect for that character in the film. Everyone will love that character in him, people will have fun watching him. I’m so grateful and excited to work with such a versatile actor.”

The first schedule of Hasal is due to begin in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, this December. According to the makers, Hasal 'showcases the fundamental darkness that one hides which lies within every individual'. The film will show how the characters overcome and celebrate their struggles and go on to live with them.
