The second song from the upcoming Bhavai (2021) is a lovely melodious number that does justice to singer Shreya Ghosal’s vocals. The lilting musical track has been written and composed by Shabbir Ahmed.

The visuals revolve around the playful closeness of the characters played by Pratik Gandhi and Aindrita Ray. They, in turn, play the Raavan and Sita in the Ram Leela that is being performed in the village.

The song shows their growing closeness, even as it plays in the background while the lead couple interact with each other.

Beginning with a mellifluous flute solo (performed by PMK Naveen Kumar), long-time lyricist Ahmed has created a spirited, melodic number that Ghosal elevates with the right amount of expression to indicate the growing flirtations of the on-screen couple.

The lyrics also have a teasing quality, as there is a lively exchange from the point of view of a woman, and the thrill of the chase that she welcomes.

Bhavai, written and directed by Hardik Gajjar, is due to be released in theatres on 1 October. Watch the song below and let us know if you are keen to see the film.
