Jasleen Royal elated to see title of film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan based on her song

On Thursday, Excel Entertainment announced its next film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023). Produced jointly with Baby Tiger Pictures, the film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav.

The title has been taken from a song from Baar Baar Dekho (2016), an Excel Entertainment co-production starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif. It was sung by Jasleen Royal. The song was also used in the new film’s announcement video.

Jasleen Royal is delighted to see a film title based on her song. “I’m elated to know of the development and at the same time feel honoured as an artiste to have a film named after something I created with Prateek Kuhad [lyricist and co-singer],” she said in a statement.

Thanking the audience, the singer added, “I would like to express my gratitude to the audience as it’s their love which has made ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ one of the most heard tracks, which eventually led to a full-length feature film being made with the title.”

Interestingly, the title of Excel Entertainment’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) was also based on a song from the banner's own film Rock On!! (2008). Similarly, the name of its upcoming film Jee Le Zara is based on a song from another of its productions, Talaash (2012).
