Excel Entertainment seems to believe a lot in stories about three friends. After Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) and Jee Le Zara (upcoming), the banner has now announced Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, the directorial debut of Arjun Varain Singh. But unlike in all the earlier films, the three friends here don’t belong to the same sex.
Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar from Excel Entertainment made the announcement of the film starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav with a video which shows the three, who appear to be close friends, doing random things in a room. One can see going them go through contrasting emotions like happiness, melancholy and indifference.
Going by Farhan Akhtar’s tweet caption, “When you have to disconnect to connect,” the title song and the visuals, it seems the film is about today’s youngsters who are too obsessed about living in the virtual world and have lost connection with the real world. Chaturvedi, Panday and Gourav do seem like real friends, even in such a short video.

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is Chaturvedi’s third project with Excel Entertainment after the web-series Inside Edge and his film debut Gully Boy (2019). He also has Yash Raj Films’ Bunty Aur Babli 2 ready for release.
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is being produced jointly with Excel by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s banner Tiger Baby Films.
