It has been a while since we heard Mohit Chauhan's voice in mainstream Hindi cinema. The singer is now back with a bang, with a grand romantic song 'Ishq Fitoori' from Bhavai, earlier known as Raavan Leela.
The visuals of the song revolve around the sweet romance of the couple played by Pratik Gandhi and Aindrita Ray. The video captures the initial infatuation of the couple as they take in the sights of the city, the vast desert and the beautiful lake. The slow-motion visuals complement perfectly the slow-burn romance feel the song aims to achieve.
The composition by Shabbir Ahmed has a grand feel to it that is accentuated by a smart arrangement. The use of the violin throughout the song and especially in the interludes holds the melody together beautifully. Shabbir Ahmed's lyrics are simple and yet evoke the feeling of being completely infatuated with someone.
Mohit Chauhan owns the song with his soulful voice. He proves once again that it was a big loss of Hindi cinema and music lovers when he was suddenly cast aside from mainstream Hindi film music. The singer adds charm to this already charming composition.
Bhavai, written, produced and directed by Hardik Gajjar, is set to be released in theatres on 1 October. Watch the song below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
