India Sweets And Spices, which had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June, is due to be released in US theatres on 19 November.
According to a report in Deadline.com, the comedy film has been acquired by Bleecker Street.
Writer-director Geeta Malik and star Adil Hussain both shared the news online.

The film features Sophia Ali as an Indian-American sophomore, Alia Kapur, who comes home after her first year in college and discovers some hidden family secrets. India Sweets And Spices also stars Manisha Koirala and Hussain as her parents, along with Rish Shah, Deepti Gupta and Ved Sapru.
Malik said in a statement, “India Sweets And Spices is a film so close to my heart, and I’m thrilled to be working with such a passionate team at Bleecker Street. I know we are in great hands for sharing our movie with the world.”
The film is produced by Madison Wells and SK Global Entertainment, with Naomi Despres, Sidney Kimmel, John Penotti and Gigi Pritzker as producers.
