T-Series, Reliance Entertainment join hands to produce over 10 films in different genres


The partnership of the two studios is expected to result in a cumulative investment of over Rs1,000 crore.

Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series has tied up with Reliance Entertainment led by Shibasish Sarkar to produce more than 10 films in different genres, including big-, medium- and small-budget projects.

According to an official note from T-Series, the collaboration will result in a cumulative investment of more than Rs1,000 crore.

The two production houses have already worked together on marketing the music of over 100 movies.

Throwing light on the films they would be making, a statement said, 'The slate includes Hindi remakes of Tamil blockbuster drama and action thrillers, a mega historical biopic, espionage thriller, courtroom drama, satire comedy, romance drama and a film based on shocking true events.

'The new slate of films will be produced over the course of the next 24 to 36 months under the aegis of some of these partnerships and with other promising filmmakers like Pushkar and Gayatri, Vikramjit Singh, Mangesh Hadawale, Srijit Mukherji and Sankalp Reddy.'

Speaking of the partnership, Bhushan Kumar said, “After working on music marketing together, this collaboration has happened at the right time and will strengthen our ties. Shibasish and I hope to give Hindi film audiences new and unconventional films.”

Sarkar, chief operating officer of Reliance Entertainment, added, “I look forward to our partnership with T-Series. The partnership with Bhushan will mark the beginning of a great feat in the Indian film industry as we move to offer a bouquet of path-breaking and momentous films to our audiences.”
