Sai Dharam Tej undergoes procedure to fix collarbone fracture

A medical bulletin issued by Apollo Hospitals said the actor, who injured himself in a road accident on Friday, is stable.

Actor Sai Dharam Tej, who met with a road accident on Friday evening in Madhapur, Hyderabad, is currently stable in Apollo Hospitals. According to the latest medical bulletin issued by the hospital, the actor underwent a procedure to fix his fractured collarbone.

Sai Dharam Tej was riding a sports bike at high speed when he skidded and lost control. He was rushed to the Medicover hospital for immediate assistance and then shifted to Apollo.

'Mr Sai Dharam Tej’s condition is stable and improving. The procedure for collarbone fracture has been successfully completed by our multi-disciplinary team of experts. He will continue to be under observation,' the bulletin said.

The actor, a nephew of veteran Telugu star Chiranjeevi, was returning home from the opening ceremony of a shop. The accident took place at about 8:30pm.

Chiranjeevi and Sai Dharam Tej's cousins Ram Charan and Allu Arjun visited him in hospital.

Reports said the Madhapur police station in Cyberabad has registered a case and started a probe.

Sai Dharam Tej is awaiting the release of the Telugu film Republic. He was last seen on the big screen in last year’s release Solo Brathuke So Better. Some of his popular films are Thikka (2016), Jawaan (2017) and Chitralahari (2019).
