Director Atanu Ghosh has shared the first look of the characters from his upcoming film Shesh Pata, starring Prosenjit, Gargee Roy Chowdhury, Rayati Bhattacharya and Vikram Chatterjee.
Noted make-up artiste Somnath Kundu, known for his work in Ek Je Chhilo Raja (2018), Vinci Da (2019) and Gumnaami (2019), has done the styling and make-up of the characters, while Sabarni Das has designed the costumes.
The photos shared by the director reveal that Kundu has given Prosenjit a never-before look for his character of a once-successful author, Valmiki.
The actor has said previously that the character is one which has gone through a lot in life and the haggard look, with traces of grey hair and spectacles, does full justice to the description.
Vikram Chatterjee, who is often seen in a 'chocolate boy' avatar, has got the look of the sole earning member of his lower-middle-class family as Sounak with the typical moustache usually sported by middle-aged men in Bengal.
The bespectacled Chowdhury fits well in her character of Medha, who goes to Valmiki with some of her own writing. Bhattacharya, as Sounak’s love interest Deepa, too fits the description of a simple girl coming from a similar socio-economic background as Sounak.
Shesh Pata explores how people in relationships and in debt to one another gradually reveal their true nature. This is Prosenjit’s third film with Ghosh after Mayurakshi (2017) and Robibaar (2019). Ghosh’s latest release Binisutoy (2021) is currently in theatres.
