The acclaimed educational drama from TVF, Kota Factory, enters its second season on 24 September. The second season of the web-series, helmed by Raghav Subbu, will be streamed on Netflix.
The trailer for the new season captures the progress, and some familiar faces, from the acclaimed start. At the end of the first season, Vaibhav (Mayur More) moved away to Maheshwari Classes, and that is where the new season kicks off.
The trailer captures Vaibhav in the new confines of Maheshwari Classes, facing new challenges. Things are not as bright as they seemed. Faced with an existential crisis, Vaibhav is caught between his dream of cracking the IIT entrance examination and the almost inhuman way in which it is being pursued.
The trailer is a fine mix of drama, emotion and some cracking punchlines. While Vaibhav's character emerged as the surprise element in the first season, he takes centre stage here.
Although Jitendra Kumar's Deepu Bhaiyya makes a return with the last word in the trailer, it is inferred that he may be relegated to the background this time, especially since he has moved out to a new class, Prodigy. The trailer captures the dilemma, struggles, pressures and even relationships of the students in the absence of their mentor.
The familiar cast of Ahsaas Channa, Alam Khan and Ranjan Raj join Mayur More in the new season. This season has been written by Saurabh Khanna, Abhishek Yadav, Puneet Batra and Manoj Kalwani and directed by Raghav Subbu.
