Actress Anjali Patil's documentary on the struggles and joys of being a woman in contemporary times, Neither A Girl Nor A Woman, is set to have its premiere at the upcoming Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) 2021. The festival will take place from 25 September to 2 October.

The actress shared a poster for the documentary, which was shot last year.

Speaking to Cinestaan.com in May 2021, the actress had revealed, "I also directed a film in December, a documentary, Neither A Girl Nor A Woman. In 2020, I had to shift gears and come into direction and writing. There was a concept I was working on for three or four months. Finally, we shot. The film is almost ready now, and by June-end it could be finished, and start on the festival circuit."

Describing the film, she said, "It talks about a spectrum of womanhood, where we don't know where we belong. It is a gender-study documentary."

Neither A Girl Nor A Woman is produced by Anahat Films. The documentary will join Deepti Gupta's documentary on singer Sona Mohapatra, Shut Up Sona, Swara Bhasker and Divya Dutta's LGBTQ+ short Sheer Qorma, and the Tamil short feature Rettai Jadai at the festival.
