Akshay Kumar wraps up shooting for film with Ranjit M Tewari

The project, which is said to be a remake of the Tamil psychological thriller Ratsasan (2018), went on the floors in August.

Akshay Kumar has concluded shooting for his next untitled feature film helmed by Bell Bottom (2021) director Ranjit M Tewari. The film, which is tentatively titled Production41, went on floors in August. 

The 53-year old actor took to Facebook on Saturday morning to share the news along with a picture of a cast and crew at the wrap party. 
"Can’t believe it’s a wrap on Production41! Grateful to have shot and completed a memorable journey with the loveliest team! Thank you for all the love, smiles, and fun!" Akshay captioned the post.

The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Chandrachur Singh and Sargun Mehta.

Backed by Jackie Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment, the film is said to be a remake of Tamil psychological thriller Ratsasan (2018). The thriller, which has already been remade in Telugu, revolves around sub-inspector Arun Kumar, who once aspired to be a film director but instead joined the force after his father’s death.  He then attempts to track down a psychotic killer who targets schoolgirls.

The makers haven't yet announced the release date for the film. Meanwhile, Akshay is awaiting the release of his long-awaited action entertainer Sooryavanshi which is scheduled to be released on Diwali and Prithviraj, which will be out on 21 January 2022.
