Gagan Arora has confirmed that he is part of the Netflix original Finding Anamika, which stars Madhuri Dixit.
"You will see me very soon in a Netflix original project, with Madhuri Dixit maám. I am a part of Finding Anamika," the actor gushed.
While the artiste has made a name for himself for his light-hearted performances in College Romance (2018-2021) or Girls Hostel (2019-2021), he seems set on a change with his next project, Tabbar, which will be premiered on SonyLIV.
Directed by Ajitpal Singh and featuring Pavan Malhotra, Supriya Pathak and Ranvir Shorey, the series will be streamed on the OTT platform from 15 October.
Speaking to Cinestaan, Arora said that the experience of working on a dramatic series has enriched his approach towards acting. "For a long time, I have been doing boy-next-door, chocolate boy, romantic comedies or even comedies. I got to know what I can explore here, and the kind of depths I can explore," he said.
He added, "I have not come close to the gravitas or experience that these [Pavan Malhotra, Supriya Pathak and Ranvir Shorey] have. But just the taste has made me more addicted to trying this."
The actor plays Happy, the good son of the family trying to protect itself from an unexpected and deadly situation that is worsening with time.
Describing his interaction with the veterans in the cast, Arora added, "I am telling you, it has been such a pleasure. They made it so easy for me. Pavan sir, Supriya maám, Ranvir sir, they made us comfortable. They used to come on sets and talk, and chitchat, not just as characters but as people as well. By the end of it, we were acting like a family."
