The Punjabi movie Chal Mera Putt 3, which stars Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal, has achieved positive results in the first week of its box office run. The comedy has amassed Rs7.33 crore nett in this period, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
After registering an impressive first-weekend collection of Rs4.63 crore, the third film in the Chal Mera Putt franchise was expected to finish the first week on a good note. But the numbers of the Janjot Singh directorial venture saw a steady fall during the week. After making Rs86 lakh on Monday, earnings declined to Rs52 lakh on Thursday. But despite that, its first week collections are better than Chal Mera Putt 2, which ended its seven-day run on Rs6.75 crore.
However, as per BoxOfficeIndia.com, the final numbers of Chal Mera Putt 3 will be lower than the second film in the series because of its content, which lags behind in comparison to the previous two films.
Meanwhile, the other Punjabi movie, Qismat 2, is also doing well. The Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta film has earned Rs4.35 crore in its second week. Adding this to its first-week earnings of Rs10.63 crore, the film’s grand total stands at an impressive 14.98 crore.
No Hindi films have been released in recent times as the producers are waiting for theatres to be reopened in Maharashtra from 22 October.
